Market season is almost here! Here’s a look at another batch of our brand new vendors:
Red Wheat Bakery
“Asa’s Red Wheat Bakery is in its germination phase, its radicle just emerging and preparing to put out roots. We will be selling bagels, bialys and a rotating selection of other breads and baked goods starting in the spring 2018.”
Sin Fonteras Farm and Food Sin Fonteras will be selling tortillas, tacos, tortes, tamales, salsas and aqua fresca this year at the market starting in June. “Our mission is to cultivate culturally appropriate foods for our communities using sustainable growing practices that restore and respect our Mother Earth, Tonantzin.”
Green Light Farm “We grow over forty varieties of cut flowers in every imaginable color. We take great care of our flower beds, and cut only the best blooms at the optimal times to ensure the longest possible vase life. Our flowers are pesticide-free and pollinator-friendly, so if you’re the type to hold a bouquet to your face, go ahead and breathe deep.”
We’re kicking off Opening Day Food Truck Fest on Saturday, May 5th from 8am-1pm. Come visit vendors and enjoy live music, reconnect with neighbors, chow down with food trucks, play lawn games, and maybe even enter the hula hoop contest!RSVP here and get updates as we count down the days!

From the farmers: “We grow delicious, nutrient-dense veggies and some fruit, using organic and sustainable methods and many heirloom varieties. We value community and creativity and are developing artist residency/internship projects as we grow the farm.”

Nearly 50,000 customers came out to support the livelihoods of 75 local farmers and entrepreneurs, we provided access to over $35,000 worth fresh local food to those most in need, and created a vibrant space for neighbors to gather weekly to see local artists on the market stage, eat, shop, and enjoy the richness of our community.Read more
Well folks, here we are: the last two markets of the season!
It has been a great year at the Midtown Farmers Market; cultural and special event days have been celebrated, musicians and spoken word poets have moved us, neighbors have convened, conversations, laughter, food, drink, song and dance have been shared, new recipes have been tried, ping pong battles have been won and lost, heat waves, rainstorms and windstorms have been weathered, and heaps of fresh, healthy, local food and art have been bought, sold, and enjoyed by our conscientious community.Read more
With the days growing shorter and darkness creeping in on our Tuesday markets, we will be closing at 6:30pm on Tuesdays for the rest of the season. Find fresh local produce and more in our normal location every Tuesday from 3pm-6:30pm through October 31st.Read more
