Summer Poetry Series Begins

To kick off our 2017 Summer Poetry Series, we welcome poet, essayist, and activist Keno Evol. Evol has competed nationally as a spoken word artist, received numerous grants, and been published in Poetry Behind The Walls and on platforms such as Gazillion Voices Magazine, Black Girl In Om, Revolution News and TC Organizer.

Evol has performed, taught workshops and led professional development in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Washington DC, Arkansas, New York, and at least nineteen institutions across the state of Minnesota. He is the chair of the Youth Advisory Board for TruArtSpeaks – a non profit in St Paul, dedicated to cultivating literacy, leadership and social justice through Hip Hop.
