Celebrate 4th of July with Fresh, Local Produce!

After what is sure to be a beautiful and busy Fourth of July week, there is no better way to relax then to join neighbors and friends at the farmers market for an afternoon of local music, local food, and more! Bring your kids for story time with East Lake Library and pick up you produce from the ever-widening selection of produce that continues to fill the tables of each of our vendors and be sure to check out our new farmers market t-shirts at the market booth . We will also have puppet shows at 10am, 11am and 12pm.

It is also time to mark your calendar for the Second Wednesday Dine out for the Market event at Gandhi Mahal. This month, we are adding to the evening with music provided by market musician Reina del Cid and the Cidzens and family activities led by Martha Zemur. Come to Gandhi Mahal for a sustainable meal featuring fresh produce from Gandhi Mahal’s own gardens! Ten percent of the profits from the night will be donated towards the Midtown Farmers Market efforts of ensuring equitable access to local, healthy food. Thank you for your support!

Thanks to everyone who has made our composting program a success thus far. Keep up the great work and don’t forget – food and paper scraps in the compost bin! If you are interested in helping us implement the program, email us at info@midtownfarmersmarket.org
