Midtown Farmers Market Hires New Assistant Manager!

The Midtown Farmers Market is please to announce that Heidi Eger has been hired as our new Assistant Manager! Heidi loves food, farmers markets, and playing in the dirt. She has spent the last three years combining these loves while managing the Student Organic Garden at the University of Minnesota, Morris, running the information booth at the Morris Area Farmers Market, and serving as a Local Foods Minnesota GreenCorps member. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris with a degree in Environmental Science and is excited to be living in Minneapolis after 4 years in beautiful rural Minnesota. Heidi has shared that she’s “looking forward to getting to know the Midtown Farmers Market community and can’t think of a better way to spend a Tuesday afternoon or Saturday morning!”
When not thinking about local food systems, Heidi enjoys reading, knitting, square dancing, and exploring the great outdoors. Most recently, she has embraced the challenge of converting her roommate to the cooking life.
2015 Vendor Applications Still Being Accepted
Although the 2015 priority deadline is quickly approaching, we are still accepting vendor applications for the upcoming season. Art vendor applications will also continued to be accepted through April 3. Quality vendors are the heart of the Midtown Farmers Market and we strive to create a balanced and diverse vendor mix each season. We are still looking for prepared and immediately consumable foods vendors, so if you know someone who might be interested, please send them our way! Application Schedule and Deadlines:
March 6: Applications due for all vendors except arts and crafts

March 13: Acceptance notification
March 28: Annual spring vendor meeting
April 3: Application deadline for arts and craft vendors
April 10: Acceptance and first half schedule notification for art and craft vendors
May 2: Opening day, Saturday market
June 2: Opening Day, Tuesday market
August 8: Final payments due, annual vendors
October 27: Closing Day, Tuesday market
October 24: Closing Day, Saturday market
*Applications received after the due date will only be considered if space is still available.
