Without soil, compost, and gardening, there would be no Midtown Farmers Market. Join us on Saturday as we celebrate our complex and beautiful roots at our annual Dirt Day!
Whether your interest in gardening is strictly on the eating side of things, or your yard is bursting with plants, our Dirt Day celebration has something for you!
For the green thumbed:
Whether you need more vegetable and flower seedlings for your garden, hanging baskets for your porch, or a basil plant for your balcony, our growers have the perfect plant for your home.
No green thumb? No problem!
As always, our wonderful vendors will be selling a wide variety of fresh spring produce (including rhubarb and asparagus), tasty hot treats, beautiful handmade art, and more. There is bound to be something for you!
Make sure to leave enough time in your market visit to meet Eureka’s compost worms, talk about urban land access for food growing with TCALT, and ask questions about the new City of Minneapolis Organics Recycling program.
P.S. Don’t forget about the free YWCA fitness class from 8:30-9:30 at the market. Adults with any experience level welcome!
