Second Saturday Arts for All
10am-noon: Windy days have been part of the Midtown Farmers Market for 15 years! Celebrate the breeze, make a festive mobile. Join in, everyone welcome!
Last week, the state budget bill containing funding for the Market Bucks program was signed by the governor, and the program was fired up again for the 2017 season. The Market Bucks were printed and distributed this week, and will be available beginning Saturday at the market info booth. The Market Bucks program improves access to fresh local food for SNAP/EBT (sometimes referred to as food stamps) recipients, by matching up to $10 per day spent in SNAP/EBT at the market dollar for dollar with Market Bucks. Check out the infographic below or visit the Hunger Solutions website for more details on how the Market Bucks program works.
Now serving up twice the market bounty every week! Tuesday markets happen every week now through Oct 31, 3pm-7pm, in the same location as always – 2225 East Lake St.
Today’s happenings include:
3:30-5:30pm: Music by The Jugsluggers
5:30pm: Free Zumba by the YWCA
Food truck: Habanero Tacos
Fresh local produce and prepared foods straight from local farmers and entrepreneurs.
